Everyone on earth tries to accomplish big things without realizing that happiness is found in small things.Without any doubt these small things lead us to an eternal joy, but we perceive at bigger things and when we come to know it is not our cup of tea, we get highly disappointed. As Bhagwan Buddha said "Desires are the root of anguishness". All the agony, misery, distress, disappointment arises when DESIRE comes into life.
Life is full of ups and downs. In order to experience happiness, one must experience other emotions including sadness and anger, to some degree nearly everyday, only then one can know what happiness is in real sense. The idea one needs to work towards is to be accepting what you have and who you are, to enjoy life whenever possible and to feel happy most of the times. I say most of the time because nobody is going to be happy all the time. Life is just not like that. Happiness needs to be earned, worked at and appreciated. And in this journey of life the real misery comes in when we think life as a problem. Life is like a frail canoe in a monstrous sea. All waves are like desires and have no end. We move in that sea with a hope that we may get an island, without knowing that even a small wave can make the canoe sink within a glimpse of time. But the hopes does not die.
"To lead a full successful life, to make the maximum use of all the talents we possess"- That's the reason why we are here on this earth for. Most of us yearn for this, especially when we are young. But somehow, with every single passing year we lower our sights, we lower ourselves and before we realize the fact, we are trapped in a mediocre unsatisfied life.
As God created earth and created some beautiful things like flowers, sky, mountain and many more but forgot to put soul in. But we are lucky enough to have a life with soul, one upper hand among those beautiful things. Shouldn't we be happy and contended enough for getting this wonderful life as a gift? Then why this confusion.
Let us be proud enough to live this LIFE
